Refund Policy

Overview

At byBase, we are committed to delivering professional services of a high standard and in accordance with our agreements with each client. Because each project is based on a customised quote, including defined inclusions, exclusions, scope, and payment terms, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

This policy outlines how we handle refund requests in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

 

No Automatic Refunds for Change of Mind

As we provide custom professional services, we do not offer refunds if you simply change your mind or decide you no longer require the services after accepting a quote, unless otherwise required by law.

Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a refund or other remedy if the service provided:

  • Was not delivered with due care and skill

  • Did not match the agreed scope or description

  • Was not fit for the intended purpose as discussed

If any of the above applies, you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund, partial refund, or rectification of the issue.

Custom Agreements Apply

Each client engagement is governed by a separate contract or quote, which outlines:

  • Scope of work

  • Inclusions and exclusions

  • Agreed deliverables

  • Payment terms and milestones

  • Specific cancellation or refund terms (if applicable)

Refunds will be considered only within the context of the agreed contract. We encourage all clients to review their quote and associated terms carefully before acceptance.

 

Cancellation Before Work Begins

If you wish to cancel a project before work has commenced, we may offer a partial refund, minus any reasonable administrative costs or preparatory work already undertaken. This will depend on the specific terms of your agreement.

Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with our service, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue promptly and fairly.
